Kirk Gibson's 25th Anniversary Of His 88' World Series HR

     25 years ago today the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted game 1 of the the 1988 World Series against the prohibited favorites the Oakland A's. The Dodgers came into game 1 with the soon to be NL MVP Kirk Gibson on the bench suffering injuries to both knees and a stomach virus. Trailing by one run going into the bottom half of the 9th inning the Dodgers called upon their injured star to deliver a hit that would become one of the greatest moments in World Series history.
